Holy Week 2021
Dear Trinity St. Paul’s Family,
We move into a second Holy Week and Easter Day in which we are not able to gather because of the covid-19 pandemic. However, unlike Holy Week last year, this time we are able to gather electronically to share in this time that takes us from Palm Sunday to Easter Day 2021.
Attached is the schedule that gives the means, either Zoom or YouTube, in which you are able to join the Trinity St. Paul’s Parish Family in these crucial days of worship together.
The gift comes in quite different “wrapping” this year, yet the gift of this most holy season is given to us by God and the Church yet again. It is the gift of these most precious times together in prayer.
Each of us is in a different place in our lives this year than we were in Holy Week and Easter a year ago. God speaks to us in new ways through the sacred events of this Holy Week.
Join with the family of faith and walk this way with us. Experience anew the mystery of our salvation.
In Christ’s love,
Fr. Robert +
Priest-In-Charge
Holy Week & Easter 2021
Enter into the intense and sacred rituals of love, commitment,
suffering, death and new life.
Palm Sunday: March 28th.
Holy Eucharist with Palms & Sermon, via YouTube. Like a regular Sunday, it premiers at 8:15 a.m. and then is available, after that hour service, at any time. A link will be sent. Remember, when you find the Sunday Service, check for the Subscribe symbol. There is no cost for this, however it is very helpful. Then, if you open YouTube, you can push on the bell symbol and be connected to the most recent Trinity St. Paul’s video, among those that pop up. Or, if you open YouTube and get a picture listing an old date, there is likely a small circle of stained glass on the lower left. Push on that and it will open a whole list of former services of ours, including the most recent.
Wednesday in Holy Week: March 31st at 7:00 p.m.
Our regular Wednesday Evening Prayer via Zoom, with readings, hymns and reflection for mid-Holy Week.
Maundy Thursday: April 1st at 7:00 p.m.
Holy Eucharist with Sermon via Zoom. Stripping of the Altar to prepare for Good Friday.
Good Friday: April 2nd at 12 Noon.
Passion Gospel, Sermon, Solemn Collects & Communion from the Reserved Sacrament, via Zoom.
(The Great Vigil of Easter will not be held this year.
God willing, we will gather together in person to keep the
Vigil & First Eucharist of Easter next year.)
Easter Day, Sunday, April 4th.
Holy Eucharist with Sermon and lots of Alleluias! Via YouTube. Like a regular Sunday, it premiers at 8:15 a.m. and then is available, after that hour service, at any time. A link will be sent. Note the further Subscribe information at Palm Sunday, above.
