The Hospitality Committee is looking for new members. We encourage all parishioners who are interested to join our committee. We look forward to working with volunteers with new ideas and a lot of enthusiasm to help support the coffee hour and special events given by the church. Please speak to any of the current members about joining. They are: Althea John, Phyllis Harris, Beverly Nance and Hazel Mair.
Meeting Time: Second Sunday of each month.
To encourage people who attend Sunday service to host coffee hour after service.
To provide assistance for special events hosted by the church when necessary.
To supply help at coffee hour.
Coffee hour is held after the 10:30 a.m. service on Sundays. The refreshments are provided by various people who have signed up for that specific day. The signup sheet is located outside of the parish office.
Coffee hour can and is encouraged to be hosted by any variety of members within the congregation. It is a great opportunity to welcome visitors as well as share a meal and to socialize with other parishioners. Hospitality is a great ministry.
Suggestions to help the Sunday Coffee Hour Host
Coffee and tea will be provided and made, however bring milk.
Paper goods (plates, folks, knives, spoons, cups and napkins) will be provided.
Arrive early on Sunday morning to put table cloths on the tables.
Bring food to the church before the start of Sunday service and inform a committee member if food is in the oven.
Set out all foods for coffee hour.
Utilize assistance so that everything is ready to be served immediately after the service.
Clear off all tables and counters. Put away leftovers. Wash all dishes and serving utensils and put them away.
Empty the tea kettles.
Wash coffee and tea pots and put away.
Please do not hesitate to as a Hospitality Committee Member if you need help with anything the week prior to hosting coffee hour.
